mystical potency in the form of the arca-vigraha (deity)
to help such people understand Him. Srimati Kunti
devi achieved the highest level of spiritual perfection
by understanding the truth about her position in this
material world and wholeheartedly accepting the mercy
of Lord Krishna.

Another poignant Vedic evidence is the statement of
Devahuti the wife of Kardama Muni. She demonstrates the
turning point between being a woman who is entangled
in sense gratification and, therefore, considered less
intelligent, and a woman who endeavors on the progressive
path of spiritual enlightenment. Devahuti’s enlightenment
is recorded for all time in the Srimad Bhagavatam as she is
one of the greatest woman in Vedic history.

She says, “Until now we have simply wasted so much of
our time in sense gratification, neglecting to cultivate
knowledge of the Supreme Lord.” (SB 3.23.53)

Not knowing your transcendental situation, I have loved
you while remaining attached to the objects of the senses.
Nonetheless, let the affinity I have developed for you rid
me of all fear.” (SB 3.23.54)

Purport: “Devahuti is lamenting her position. As a
woman, she had to love someone. Somehow or other, she
