it is easy to understand the correctness of his statement
about children. You cannot leave children unattended by
themselves. They need supervision and protection because
they lack experience to discern between what is right
and wrong.

Materialistic women (and lusty men who want to exploit
women) are preoccupied with material pleasures. They are
blinded by their passion for self-indulgence. Look at the
many examples of unwanted teenage and adult pregnancy
and abortion, drug use, divorce, crime, mental problems,
violence, racial prejudice, war, etc. Both women and men
who are attached to enjoying material pleasures, especially
sex, are not spiritually inclined nor are they using their
intelligence to free themselves from the cycle of birth and
death. Such persons are not trustworthy because they
selfishly act for their own benefit always. This is confirmed
by the SB 5.18.12 yasyasti bhaktir bhagavaty akincina…

“…On the other hand, a person devoid of devotional
service and engaged in material activities has no good
qualities. Even if one is adept at the practice of mystic
yoga or the honest endeavor of maintaining one’s family
and relatives, one must be driven by his/her own mental
speculations and must engage in the service of the Lord’s
external illusory energy. How can there be any good
qualities in such a person.”
