to the famous teaching of Lord Caitanya who explained to Sanatana

Goswami that the eternal posi on of the jiva (minute individual soul) is
to eternally serve Lord Krishna. Yamunacarya says the same thing by
referring to the jiva soul as sanatha jivitam, who can only a ain peace
by fixing his mind on following the orders of the Supreme Lord. Then he
becomes the eternal servant of the Lord and lives joyfully because he
has accepted the Lord as his master.
Morning Walk -- November 24, 1975, Bombay:
Prabhupada: Yes. The whole world is suffering on this misconcep on.
The horse also. As soon as it gets somebody on his back he become ju-
bilant immediately. This is the nature. Jivera 'svarupa' haya-nitya Krish-
na dasa (Cc. Madhya 20.108-109). Hare Krishna. Jaya. Jaya.

(break) ...vantam eva caran nirantara prasanta-nihsesha-mano-
rathantaram, kadaham aikan ka-nitya-kinkara praharsayisyami sana-
tha jivitam. This is Vaishnava aspira on. Bhavantam eva caran niranta-
ram: "Twenty-four hours simply carrying Your orders." And you can do
it. But it is not possible. The mind is checking. Prasanta-nihsesha mano-
rathantaram. Unless one's mind is fixed up, he cannot become servant
of God. Kadaham aikan ka-nitya-kinkara. "In this way, when I shall be
absolutely Your servant and live very joyfully, that 'I have got my mas-

ter.'?" This is Yamunacarya's verse.
bhavantam eva caran nirantaram
prasanta‐nihsesha‐mano‐rathantaram
kadaham aikan ka‐nitya‐kinkarah
praharsayisyami sanatha‐jivitam
"By serving You constantly, one is freed from all material desires and is
completely pacified. When shall I engage as Your permanent eternal
servant and always feel joyful to have such a fi ng master?"
Dr. Patel: Sanatha-jiva.
Prabhupada: They are all anatha-jivita. Yes. Everyone is independence
and anatha. There is natha, but he'll not recognize. Anatha-jivita.
