Lord Krishna established the system of sacrifice (yajna) by which all the ne-
cessi es for a peaceful and happy life will be supplied. He says, “In the begin-
ning of crea on, the Lord of all creatures sent forth genera ons of men and
demigods, along with sacrifices for Vishṇu, and blessed them by saying, “Be
thou happy by this yajna [sacrifice] because its performance will bestow upon
you everything desirable for living happily and achieving libera on.” (Bg 3.10)
Again Bhak vedanta Swami brings clarity to what sacrifice (yajna) is most effi-
cient to please Krishna in the present of Kali-yuga, the age of hypocrisy and
quarrel. He writes,
“The praja-pa is Lord Viṣṇu, and He is the Lord of all living creatures, all
worlds, and all beau es, and the protector of everyone. The Lord created this
material world to enable the condi oned souls to learn how to perform yaj-
nas (sacrifices) for the sa sfac on of Vishṇu, so that while in the material
world they can live very comfortably without anxiety, and a er finishing the
present material body they can enter into the kingdom of God. That is the
whole program for the condi oned soul. By performance of yajna, the condi-
oned souls gradually become Krishṇa conscious and become godly in all re-
spects. In the Age of Kali, the samkirtana-yajna (the chan ng of the names of
God) is recommended by the Vedic scriptures, and this transcendental sys-
tem was introduced by Lord Caitanya for the deliverance of all men in this
age. Saṅkīrtana-yajña and Kṛṣṇa consciousness go well together. Lord Kṛṣṇa in
His devo onal form (as Lord Caitanya) is men oned in the Śrīmad-
Bhāgavatam (11.5.32) as follows, with special reference to the samkirtana-
yajna..” This is a specific reference to chan ng Hare Krishna Hare Krishna

Making topsoil can eventually free one from using mechanized farm

It is possible to produce topsoil that is teeming with live bacteria and organic
nutrients that provide a powerful resource for the growth of organic vegeta-

topsoil the need to plow and roto ll becomes unnecessary as will the use of
industrial fer lizers and pes cides. Every year new topsoil will replenish the
land. When the land is not used or le fallow, covering it with black plas c or
