Srinivasa decided to give His conch shell and His
Sudarsan chakra to Thondaman. And he said he
would be on the side of Vasudan.

The fight began, but there was a problem.
Thondaman perceived that his soldiers were not
fighting enthusiastically because they had great
respect and love for Srinivasa. How could they fight
against the ultimate person they loved. His army
was being routed because his men did not want to
fight against Srinivasa. He became so angry that he

grabbed the sudarsan chakra Srinivasa gave him and
threw it at the Lord. It hit the Lord and He fell to the
ground. It was His transcendental pastime (lila). He
appeared lifeless. Everyone stopped fighting. All the
soldiers of both armies gathered around the fallen
Lord and cried along with their sincere prayers.
They beseeched the Lord to not leave. At that time,
Thondaman and Vasudan thought, “What nonsense
have we done fighting like this? Look what has
resulted from our selfish war. Lord Srinivasa is injured
and He may leave us.” They wept miserably. The news
came to Agastya muni’s ashram where Padmavati was
