three types of earthworms that are good digesters for a composter
or a worm bin. They are: red wrigglers, European night crawler
and the African night crawler. These worms feed on bacteria on
the surface of vegetable peelings, cow dung and other bio-mass
such as dried grasses, leaves, etc. They produce worm castings
which are the ideal fertilizer for enriching topsoil.
The best leaves for composting are maple tree leaves. Shred them
with a chipper shredder or a mower and add them to your compost
pile or worm bin. Leaves supply carbon. Cow dung and dried
grass clippings supply nitrogen. Then all you need is oxygen and
water and the compost pile starts to work at maximum speed if it is
kept dark and warm during winter.
Regulated rain and sunshine, nutrient rich topsoil, cow protection,
respect for holy men, elders, children and women will create an
environment of natural opulence, peace and spirituality for all of
society.
